Bayside Cemetery

Since 2009, CAJAC has played an integral role in the recovery and permanent preservation of Bayside Cemetery, located in Ozone Park, Queens.  Due to a confluence of circumstances, this unique cemetery was  under siege, with nearly 90% of the cemetery completely impenetrable. Thanks to the generosity of UJA-Federation of New York, the ongoing support of New York City Councilman Eric Ulrich, as well as thousands of volunteer hours, Bayside has been restored to a place of tranquility and serenity, befitting the sacred obligation of kavod ha-met, caring for the deceased.    While our work isn’t nearly complete, CAJAC continues to raise funding – and support – for this important project.
